Completed:

January 2017

HomeAid San Diego and our building partners have garnered over $1.2M of in-kind professional services, labor and materials for this project.

Leading the construction team was Murfey Construction, acting as the Construction Manager and Owner’s Representative for Noah Homes, and handling all the site work including underground utilities, grading, hardscape and landscape. Vertical construction was led by Brookfield Residential with CalAtlantic Homes providing their purchasing resources. Project Team members also included Dahlin Group Architecture and Planning, Schmidt Landscape Design, Hope-Amundson Structural Engineers, Pasco Laret Suiter & Associates, Abbott Engineering, Nutter Electrical Design and RBN Design, with over 35 other subcontractors on board. Because of the generosity and leadership of this Project Team, these Memory Care Homes were planned, designed and built in less than two (2) years, realizing Noah Homes’ dream of ‘forever homes’ for their residents. This project was supported locally by Supervisor Dianne Jacob and statewide by Senator Joel Anderson. The Memory Care Homes were dedicated on November 3rd, 2016 and licensing was granted on January 5th, 2017.

The partnership collaboration between HomeAid San Diego and Brookfield Residential for the Noah Homes’ Memory Care Homes project was recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) as one of three finalists for the national 2016 ‘Corporate Philanthropy’ award, and the winner of this award from the San Diego Chapter. And this project won the 2017 PCBC Grand Award Honors in the category of Best Service Enriched Senior Community/IL/AL/Memory Care – beating out 5 other Merit Award winners.
